Two and Nine

December 23, 2007 | Filed Under Questions | 3 Comments

It’s (technically) two days from Christmas and nine days from New Year. Let me take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance :-D

I’ll still be working tomorrow morning (not fun), but will be celebrating the rest of Christmas Eve at my girlfriend’s place tomorrow. Christmas day will be spent crabbing with my brother and his friend’s family in Mandurah, about 1.5 hours’ drive from my place.

I’ll probably resume work the following day. So only a day off for me. Still no plans for the New Year, but I guess I should take it one at a time, no?

What has been planned for your Christmas and New Year?

What Represents You and Your Life?

December 14, 2007 | Filed Under Questions | 2 Comments

Unlike every other Fridays, I am staying at home tonight instead of going for my usual badminton session in Como. I figured, since there isn’t any of my friends going to play tonight, I’d be better off resting at home instead. Besides, I’m going out to my girlfriend’s place *early* tomorrow, so I’ll need the rest.

Once again, I stumbled across a couple of questions that were asked in Xanga, and one of it reads: What three things would you put in a time capsule that best represent you and your life?

Initially, I gave it a quick thought and answered it off my head. But thinking about it once again, I figured that this is not just another one of those questions. So these are the three things that I would put in the time capsule to represent me and my life:

  1. Photo album
A photo album that has a heap of photographs from my childhood (although only a handful, I reckon) throughout my teenage years to the day of my passing, which also comprises of the photos that I have taken, not forgetting photographs of loved ones and friends.
  2. Copy of my journal
A copy of my journal would be one of the three things. My journal records and keeps track of my growth from a once young and immature person to who I am today and years down the road. And no, I don’t have an offline journal, only online.
  3. The Bible

What about you?

Job-Hunt Has Begun

November 27, 2007 | Filed Under Questions | 4 Comments

I’ve (finally) made the first move to look for a job after realising how desperate I am for cash.

I had to make three phone calls to employment agencies before I heard some good news. The only question I have to answer now is whether I am going to continue in the Hospitality industry OR have a go at a slightly harder Industrial industry?

All these while I’ve been in hospitality, and I may probably be a little sick of trying to please customers day in and day out.

On the other hand, why settle for something else and start anew when you’re doing so well in the hospitality industry?

To think about it, having a change of industries will probably give my resume a better look when I apply for new jobs in the future.
There’s this job in the industrial side which is near my university, and it pays really well too, according to the agency. I’m tempted, but afraid at the same time. According to them, once I’ve registered with the agency, I can commence work the following day.

The website was down, so I had to drive to the agency, but I have to go back again tomorrow.

The question remains - Hospitality or Industrial?

Is it Just Me or What?

November 13, 2007 | Filed Under Questions | 6 Comments

I noticed that many have slowed down on their postings in their blog(s). Updates are so much slower now. I’m not complaining, really. I barely have time to read others’ entries, more to say drop a comment. But hey, I still make sure I catch up on my readings, okay?

Out of all the 65 blogs that I had subscribed to in Google Reader, only about 20 update daily. Ashamed to say this, but I only comment on less than 10 blogs. Sometimes it’s better to keep your mouth shut and just read what others have to say. Maybe that explains the lack of comments in my blog too. You guys are getting back at me, no? It’s okay, I still love you :P

Then again, I haven’t been blogging a lot lately. My updates are in a sporadic manner. What have been slowing me down? I don’t know. What’s slowing you down? Work? Studies? Exams? Family?

My Internet has been shaped to 64k at peak hours (8am-midnight), been downloading too much Prison Break. So photo uploading is a pain now. Picture update after midnight =)

My Question to You

November 10, 2007 | Filed Under Questions | 8 Comments

Alright. Since none of you guys have any questions for me, I have a very important question to ask you all.

How in the world am I, a frequent, habitual “swearer” who swears and cusses almost everyday stop swearing COMPLETELY?

I think it’s not something that can be done overnight, but any suggestions and tips would be greatly appreciated =) Thank you!
