Toyota Supra Steering Wheel

I was experimenting with my SB-600 flash in my 1990 Toyota Supra a couple of nights ago and came up with this shot. Love it because of its colour which is bounced from my car’s ceiling which is actually maroon in colour.

Sunday’s officially over and it’s the start of a new week. But to me, it’s been the same since beginning of holiday. Another month to go before uni holidays are over. For now, I shall just focus on work and photography. And not forgetting L :)

Have a wonderful week ahead.

p.s. My pictures from this post onwards will be watermarked for copyright idiots.

Kung Fu Panda

Kung Fu Panda Review

This is a review of Kung Fu Panda that L and myself had watched in Hoyts Cinema on Thursday. Unlike Malaysia, it was surprisingly easy to get the tickets for the movie although it was the opening day. Seatings are self-picked here, so there is no need to buy the tickets early for the best seats.

If you are still living in your cave, Kung Fu Panda is an animation action/comedy which was released this year in June. The movie as good as the reviews say it is; funny, action-packed, cute, educational. For an animation that runs 92 minutes, the movie is not too long that your bladder would explode nor is too short that your popcorn is not finished by the end of the movie. The run-time is just right.

One thing that caught my attention when the credits roll is that the voiceover was mainly by famous “celebrities”. Some names that caught my attention - Jack Black as Po (the Panda), Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu and Michael Clarke Ducan. It is really surprising to see the huge list of “celebrities” who are actually behind the voice. Not that I would get it, but I reckon that with an animation like this, who really cares about the voice behind the characters? Well, I personally don’t.

There is really no need for me to go through the plot as I’m sure you would have probably seen the trailer somewhere. Anyway, L seemed to have enjoyed herself thoroughly, laughing hysterically and not even noticing me coughing my lungs out when I er.. sorta choked on a popcorn for laughing too hard. Okay, you can stop laughing now.

To conclude, Kung Fu Panda was probably one of the few movies that I actually felt was worth my money watching on the big screens in Perth since I got here since end of 2006. Make sure this movie is in your must-see movies list this year if you haven’t watched it already.

I give Kung Fu Panda a highly recommended rating of 8.5/10.
