.. I rant.
The day that all men (and some women) loathe is just 10 days away. Valentine’s Day. Celebrated on the 14th of February every year, it is the only day when the florists can provide an excuse to quadruple their profit on a single day, the day when all restaurants have an overpriced “lover’s menu”, the day when some, if not all attached men struggle to find the “perfect” gift for their loved ones, possibly spending their hard-earned money to buy that overpriced stem/bouquet of rose(s) and teddy bears only to please their partner(s) and possibly winning their hearts.
I bought L a Logitech Cordless Wave Pro from CatchoftheDay.com earlier today which will be delivered by Valentine’s (I hope), which may well put me into the Doghouse (click). Then again, she has been wanting a keyboard + mouse bundle to replace hers since last year. Of course, I should probably get something else for her to go with that (ideas?) :/ Flowers are so overpriced (but do I really have a choice?). I hate bloody Valentine’s! Why can’t we just be extra nice and lovey dovey every day of the year instead of dedicating a single day to increase all the prices of goods and impress our loved ones?
I sure as hell hope L doesn’t see this post anytime soon :/

How nice if flowers can be bought few days earlier and freeze it. Every year during valentine’s day…. i gotta spend few hundred bucks only for the flowers and restaurants….. trying to create the most romantic nights. Why don’t someone come out with mantine’s day? =.=”"

A suggestion, for ur valentine’s present, if ur going to get her a mouse and keyboard, perhaps add also a card with a little poem about using the keyboard and mouse to find your personally made lovey dovey youtube video! no flowers required

In order to not buy flowers, she has to have the same ideas about Valentines lor.. If she doesn’t, I can’t think of what you can do NOT to buy her flowers.
Actually, you could grow some roses. That way you can just pluck it and voila. Lots of rose bushes in Perth leh.
