I got my paycheck today and I finally couldn’t resist but to get myself the long-awaited keyboard that I have been wanting to get – the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard. I could have waited for another month or two until the Christmas price drops to the original price which is ~AUD10 cheaper that its current price tag of AUD109, but seeing how my pay is almost doubling my usual pay (from the addition of my 2nd job), I decided to get it right away at PLE Computers, Perth. PLE is the cheapest place in WA to get the keyboard at the moment. It’s selling for AUD169.95 at Harvey Norman, as I have checked today, which is a total rip-off.
It feels so good to type using the keyboard. With its PerfectStroke key system, it feels so easy to type and every key feels so light, so I don’t really need to type very hard at all. It feels sort of like a laptop keyboard, but a bigger, slimmer, and smoother feel to it (with number pad).
This is one of the better spent items that I have purchased in these recent months. The price tag of AUD109 may be a little pricey to most people, but it feels as though I deserve this little early Christmas gift for all my hard work of late. Working two jobs at once isn’t exactly something favourable, but when I see how I don’t struggle as much with money now, I know I’m not regretting it.

This is why this blog has not been updated as regularly as before of late. The two jobs and other time that I spend with L are enough to keep me occupied, more to say blogging. Now that my Nikon D60 is back as well, I am trying my best to re-organise my time so it’ll fit in two jobs, a girlfriend, photography and my blog.
So do bear with the sporadical updates while I get myself organised with time.

Here is how the Logitech Iluminated Keyboard looks like at night with 100% brightness:
This keyboard is highly recommended to all heavy/casual keyboard users. This is not exactly a gaming keyboard, but definitely useable as a gaming keyboard due to the fact that it is corded and should not lag.
Pros – (VERY) slim at 9.3mm at its thickest point, great (fading) backlight with three brightness settings and off button, no unnecessary buttons, PerfectStroke provides almost silent typing, great finish, elegant look and feel.
Cons – a little pricey for a minimalist keyboard, corded (but considering the fact that the keyboard requires quite some power for the backlight, it may not actually be a con), insert/del button is a little off place, F1-F12 cannot be read at night although the images are lit.
I give it a 4.5/5 for the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard because it simply is the best keyboard I’ve used to date!
