A Couple of Announcements

A couple of announcements:
- I need a desktop.
I upgraded my Adobe Lightroom 1.4.1 to 2.0 yesterday and I must say I am very very impressed with the new features it offers. And yes, I need a desktop because my laptop is just too slow and old to be used for photo-editing softwares like Lightroom, more to say Photoshop. I’ve got my friend to help me build it from scratch, with specifications I can never comprehend. All those technical jargons are just like a foreign language to me, so I’ll let the professionals do the job while I slave away at work for more moolah to buy the parts.
I’m hoping to set it up in a few weeks’ time, but being me, the money I have right now may just end up elsewhere anytime anywhere without warning.
- I’m selling my 1990 Nissan Pulsar Hatchback
If you haven’t read my “Carrots” post properly.
- I’m selling my 1990 Toyota Supra Coupe GA70 GT
Haha yes this one too.
P.S. I fell asleep while waiting for Lightroom to process my actions. That’s how slow it is. So no pictures in this post.

god, i know what you mean. my own laptop now seems a lil slow for all my photo-editing needs. i spend AGES at post-processing photos ’cause my laptop seems to lag or spend too much time post-processing something. sigh.
if you don’t mind, care to share the specs of your desktop? i’m not too sure myself what specs exactly can handle our photographic needs lol.
4gb RAM! 500GB HDD! Apparently Nvidia Geforce 8400 graphic cards and something else is a bit faulty.
Damn, I want a PC too. It’s so much faster with games and heavy duty programs.. Bah.

@clem - Laptop is just NOT right for us I guess. Should have gone for a desktop in the first place. And I completely understand that lagging bit. The specs, I will finalise with my friend in a couple of days’ time when uni starts.
TBH, the specs needed for us won’t be that demanding compared to say, a graphic designer. We probably will end up running Photoshop and a couple of other photo-editing softwares & FF for browsing. I don’t mind waiting a couple of seconds slower than the top end range as long as it won’t keep me waiting until I fall asleep
And oh, since you’re a gamer you might need better specs as well, no?
@cheahwey - That’s too hardcore for me. 2GB RAM is more than enough, and probably about 320GB will do for a couple of years (at least). Don’t really require a high-end model, just need to make sure I can afford it for now, lol.
