All Work and No Play..

Nokia Step Counter is for accelerometer enabled Nokia phones such as Nokia N95, N95 8GB & N82 that are able to detect movements in the phone. This application calculates how many steps you have taken everyday and saves it in its calendar whilst showing the amount of energy you have burnt, the distance you have walked/run, the total walking time, all throughout the day.

I believe in the saying, “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. That is going to be me in this coming week, where I will be working Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and all day on Sunday, so updates will be sporadic. I will be putting up a few more Wordless entries this coming week in case I can’t find the time to update, so expect to see some pictures and do bear with me.

I started work at 11 this morning, where I was supposed to finish at 3pm. Plans changed when I took over a colleague’s shift from 4.30pm – 9pm. It was my second day at work. As you can see from the graph, my step count started from 0, all the way to over 10000 today.

Although I do believe in the saying above, I also believe in another saying – “all play and no work makes Jack an asshole”. This Jack here would refer to this 15 year-old boy who was working with me all evening. It was my first time working with him and he had already made me want to smash him countless times throughout the evening.

As you can see, I have been walking in a rather moderate speed throughout my shift from 11am-3pm, where I had my 1.5 hours break before resuming my shift from 4.30pm-9ish.

Of course, being the *cough*gentleman*cough* that I am, I didn’t tell him off or shout at him, nor did I smash him with the apple pie although I very much wanted to. I only bitched about him in front of my new colleagues and complaint to the managers about him while I get to see him being reprimanded by the managers. Oh, the joy.

Anyway, my new job is quite enjoyable, although there are dickheads here and there and everywhere which makes it somewhat stressful at times. As a consolation to myself, I always remind myself and believe that there is always a dickhead (or two) wherever you may be.

So you have a great weekend and hope you won’t be working too hard.

UPDATE: My manager called me up for work tomorrow just after I finished typing this entry. Being a man that refuses no money (at this time anyway), the only question I asked him is, “what time?”
