The Oxford Murders

No, this is not real murders commited in Oxford University.

Oxford Murders

It’s a movie released earlier this year starring Elijah Wood as the protagonist alongside with John Hurt, Leonor Watling and Julie Cox (not that I’m familiar with them). The movie runs for approximately 1 hour 40 minutes, which is not too long or too short for today’s standards.

The filming was done in Oxfordshire, England, hence the strong British accent. As I always watch movies with subtitles, the accents never stopped me from watching them. The Oxford Murders is a crime/thriller/mystery movie, as you can depict from the working title.

Somehow the movie reminds me of the Illusionist and the Prestige, probably due to the filming location and the accent and feel the movie produced.

The movie is basically about a graduate student and a professor working together to solve a crime that seems to be linked together by a series of mathematical symbols. It has got quite a twist in the movie, just like how both the Illusionist and the Prestige make you think alot.

An added bonus to the males would be the sex scenes from the movie between Frodo (Elijah Wood) and the female protagonist.

I give this movie a good 7.5/10.

Your entry read: ‘The filming was done in England and Oxfordshire, hence the strong British accents’

It doesn’t make sense as Oxford IS in England. It’s like saying ‘Filming took place in America and New York’.

Hope you don’t mind me pointing this out.
