Post Christmas

How was Christmas for you? Mine was great, albeit tiring. My girlfriend and I joined my brother and his girlfriend in Mandurah, where his friend’s family is to go crabbing in their boat.
It’s 42 degrees in Perth at the moment, so please excuse me while I enjoy my air-conditioning while watching Zodiac on my laptop.
Below is a shot of the boat moored at Fremantle where we took a quick rest before we went crabbing in Mandurah:

Two and Nine
December 23, 2007 | Filed Under Questions | 3 Comments
It’s (technically) two days from Christmas and nine days from New Year. Let me take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance
I’ll still be working tomorrow morning (not fun), but will be celebrating the rest of Christmas Eve at my girlfriend’s place tomorrow. Christmas day will be spent crabbing with my brother and his friend’s family in Mandurah, about 1.5 hours’ drive from my place.
I’ll probably resume work the following day. So only a day off for me. Still no plans for the New Year, but I guess I should take it one at a time, no?
What has been planned for your Christmas and New Year?

What Represents You and Your Life?
December 14, 2007 | Filed Under Questions | 2 Comments
Unlike every other Fridays, I am staying at home tonight instead of going for my usual badminton session in Como. I figured, since there isn’t any of my friends going to play tonight, I’d be better off resting at home instead. Besides, I’m going out to my girlfriend’s place *early* tomorrow, so I’ll need the rest.
Once again, I stumbled across a couple of questions that were asked in Xanga, and one of it reads: What three things would you put in a time capsule that best represent you and your life?
Initially, I gave it a quick thought and answered it off my head. But thinking about it once again, I figured that this is not just another one of those questions. So these are the three things that I would put in the time capsule to represent me and my life:
- Photo album
A photo album that has a heap of photographs from my childhood (although only a handful, I reckon) throughout my teenage years to the day of my passing, which also comprises of the photos that I have taken, not forgetting photographs of loved ones and friends. - Copy of my journal
A copy of my journal would be one of the three things. My journal records and keeps track of my growth from a once young and immature person to who I am today and years down the road. And no, I don’t have an offline journal, only online. - The Bible
What about you?

End of Blogging?
December 14, 2007 | Filed Under Thoughts | Leave a Comment
I’ve started working since two days ago at a laundry factory somewhere near Murdoch University.
The pay is good, but the work is one heck of a repetitive job. I think I’m getting dumber after every shift, but thank goodness my friend is now working with me and we both are requesting the supervisor to double our hours to eight hours per day (we only work weekdays) starting next week.
I don’t really know why my updates have been sporadic lately. Maybe it is like what 5xmom has been saying in her Make$ Money$ Blog, Blogging is really, really dead and canned, but maybe it only applies to bloggers who are getting paid to blog.
There is a song that I would like to share with you guys today. It’s by Jane Zhang, entitled To Be Loved. My girlfriend had sent me the song last night, and I think it’s a really meaningful song to share. Enjoy the song and have a fantastic weekend. No “Picture Fridays” today.

I’m a Killer
December 6, 2007 | Filed Under Thoughts | 6 Comments
I’m feeling a little tipsy now after drinking a few bottles of Vodka Cruisers, but I’m still pretty much awake.
So, I decided to share the cruellest thing I’ve done this year, and in fact, today. I was happily driving back home from Carousel with my girlfriend and without any warning at all, one cute little birdy decided to commit suicide and let me run over it. I didn’t swerve the car at all because I didn’t think the little birdy would let me run over it.
I knew I killed it when I drove past it and it suddenly moved from the middle of the car to the rear left of my car’s tyre, and when I ran over it, I could hear its bones cracking under the tyre and I looked at the rear mirror only to see feathers flying everywhere on the road.
I felt so, so guilty following the incident. It was my first time killing anything bigger than a cockroach, and that didn’t feel any good.
Naturally, I checked the car’s wheel to spot any traces of blood, but there wasn’t any at all. No traces of blood, no feathers, no nothing. I officially killed a little birdy today. My mum’s not going to be proud of me ![]()
Have you had any similar incidents before? What is the most cruel thing you’ve done this year?
PS. No, I did not drown myself with alcohol because of the incident.
